Well, it's finally here. The Day. Election day. The thing that most all have been talking about and wringing their hands over for lo these past six months... has finally arrived. That day when Americans can actually choose whether they will be sodomized with or without a reach around.
I, for one, will not be participating. I have been, and no doubt will be criticized for this stance. My response to this? Zero.Fucks.Given. If you are a regular reader here at Midnight and other beasts, I don't need to explain myself. My works should provide enough of an insight into my thinking on this matter. All who choose to are free to criticize. I didn't ask for your permission.
The USA is, ostensibly, a republic. That should mean that anyone who is a citizen is a constituent, whether they choose to exercise their franchise or not. It is a curious thing, isn't it? Every aspect of your involuntary membership is compulsory, under penalty of fine, imprisonment or death. Maybe all three. But this... this voting, this endless, partisan bickering? This is the only part of the whole deal that is voluntary.
What is your reward for the privilege? You could be called for jury duty, seated with eleven other citizens who are complete woke libtards. You could decide to conduct yourself in a conscientious manner as a part of this jury, to follow the evidence, follow the law and vote accordingly to see that "justice" is done. And you could then be bullied, castigated and harassed by a handful of hags on that jury who don't give two shits about the law. Only the advancement of their own perverse social theories. And if you hold your ground? Then, after the mistrial is declared, you get to be doxxed and vilified by your fellow jurors, the defense counsel, the news media and anyone else with no knowledge of and only a casual interest in the case. I know. Sounds kinda ridiculous, doesn't it? And yet we watched this very thing happen a short time ago. In Massachusetts. The "cradle of liberty"?
Regardless of who is ultimately declared the winner, whether that happens tonight or after weeks of chicanery, the message from the voters will be heard, loud and clear...
Please, Daddy! Govern me harder!
